Respite Care of Charleston
Respite Care Charleston provides a social day program two days a week for individuals and families coping with Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. Loved ones attending
this program get special attention, exercise, and mental stimulation through games, socialization, and crafts. Additionally, art, music, and pet therapy are provided by
professional staff and trained volunteers. Caregivers get a much needed break
from the stress of the constant on call status for a few hours.
Members of the community and the congregation serve as volunteers.
